Miracle Mile… how the hell didn’t i know about this?!
Every so often I come across a movie that leaves me wondering: “How the hell didn’t I know about this?!” Miracle Mile is one of those films. Considering my obsession with nuclear war… as well as my taste for excellent filmmaking… you’d have thought I’d have been singing praise for this film since it’s ’89 release. But, unfortunately, I stumbled across this gem only last week. But now I’m happy to share it with you. Miracle Mile is an enjoyable and surprising flick. Going into it I thought the movie was a dark comedy like Dr. Strangelove or American Psycho… boy was I surprised. Another great selling point for me: it’s Los Angeles location. My then-girlfriend worked across the street from the La Brea Tar Pits down there on Wilshire Boulevard, an area of L.A. that the movie borrows its name from.
Check out the trailer…
And here’s an excellent (though mildly spoileris) review:
I like this song/video because…
A.) If I were to write a song it would probably be about time travel too.
B.) The complexity of this video is staggering.
Enjoy…
I often find myself doing the randomest shit.
I often find myself doing the randomest shit. Today it was reshaping a cowboy hat. The best part about it (other than getting a bitch’n drinking hat back) was discovering this video. Note the “I really don’t want to make this video” expression on the employee’s face. Note the off-camera narrator/operator (presumably the guy’s boss) who repeats everything. Haha. Random internet at its finest.
won’t stop ’til it’s over
Because GB won’t let this blog die (thanks, GB) and because Stewart Grant has never heard of The Temper Trap (this can’t be true.) It’s not a book review (of which I have many to write) but it’s something…
Up, up, and away. A view from a plane…
It’s summertime. Let’s have some fun.

Some stunning time lapse and this week’s moment of zen. Thanks, GB.
