These perlorian cats haunt my dreams…
July 29, 2011
SO last week my friends and I were inexplicably and immensely obsessed with perlorian cats, a strange short-lived cultural sensation of the ’80s in Japan. A long lost children’s book (Going to School by Suzanne Green) was soon re-discoverd in a parent’s basement and it wasn’t long before we feasted our eyes upon this gem:
No, your eyes do not deceive you. For absolutely no discernible reason there is a small cassette sleeve labeled, in handwriting, ROCKY III. It is neither mentioned nor referred to in anyway, either on that page or any other of the entire book. But there it is. With a kitten’s paw on it. ROCKY III. At a spelling bee.
How great is that?!

hahaha!
imagine if this book was published a few years later and the podium read Rocky V. now, that would have been something really special …and even more confusing.
does anyone know of a book with perlorian cats that was out in the eightes about a tea party? The cats are dressed up. I would love to know the name of this book.
